Warrington Town embark on their first away fixture of the 2025/26 season this evening, as they make the trip to Hednesford Town in the Northern Premier League.
The Yellows earned a point in a 0-0 draw against Cleethorpes Town at home in their opening game of the season on Saturday, and Paul Carden will be aiming to build upon the result with a statement victory against early-season title contenders Hednesford at Keys Park.
Tonight's match-up will be the seventh time the sides have met, with Town claiming four wins against the Pitmen, which included a 3-1 victory in their last meeting back in February 2019, courtesy of a goal from Dylan Vassallo and a Josh Amis brace.
Below, we've compiled everything you need to know ahead of the fixture.
Defender Scott Butler will miss tonight's fixture at Keys Park with a broken foot, which is expected to sideline him for the next two months.
Preston North End loanee Li-Bau Stowell, who made his senior debut in the draw against Cleethorpes Town, will retain his place in goal as Liam Isherwood is ruled out through concussion protocol.
Matty Waters, who missed Saturday's game through illness, is hopeful to go into contention to make his competitive debut for the Yellows this evening, while midfielder David Morgan will be assessed after a hamstring issue forced him to be an unused substitute at the weekend.
Warrington Town manager Paul Carden is expecting a tough test for his side as they gear up to take on Hednesford Town in Staffordshire this evening.
The Pitmen were tipped as early contenders to lift the Northern Premier League trophy at the end of the season, and they got off to a perfect start with a 1-0 victory over Hebburn Town on the opening day of the campaign.
Despite this, Carden is keen to put down his own marker of intent as he looks to set the foundations of a bounce back to the National League North come the end of the season.
"I saw the [Hednesford Town vs Hebburn Town] result, that they won, so they've obviously got off to a good start," Carden said.
"It'll be a test. They've got some really good players, probably players who can play a couple of levels up.
"But that's the test. That's what we're in this for - and that's to show what we're about as well. We don't want to just be talking about the opposition; we've got some good lads in there.
"We need to make sure everyone's right for Tuesday. We've got a couple of knocks, but I'm hopeful most of them are alright."
Tonight's Northern Premier League fixture at Keys Park kicks off at 7:45pm. Match tickets, available to buy online or at the ticket office before 7:30pm, are priced as follows:
